You must take a bus from Avignon to Remoulins and ask the bus driver to direct you to the Gare de Péage de Remoulins at Intersection 23 on A9 . This is a VERY good place to hitch South on A9
waited 3 hours and then walked 2 km south west to the next slip road which was quiet and much better , after a kind driver told me to give up at that point at the fuel station
3 bad experiences so far in 2013 going south ....no cars . expect to wait 90 minutes and then be offered a lift to Hilton Park Services , Wolverhampton , which is also a 90 minute wait. Avoid Kuntsford and Hilton Pk . The rest of M6 is ok
Frankley Southbound can be quite bad , often up to 2 hours , and there is often only 30 cars an hour ... No car driver would stop here as it is a sh*** hole
I was left at chippenham junction 17 , so I ran along the motorway for 3k and got into the services at 2 am . waited 30 min and a lift straight into my suburb in Bristol ! With a woman !!!!!!!! ( Deutsche naturlich )
Charnock Richard services is one of those fairly good northern services that can move you fast long dIistances .... MUCH BETTER THAN THE ONES FURHER SOUTH
If you are going far north , get out at Sedgemoor services and NOT at Bristol junctions - Jn 22 /21/19/18/16 . Or get out at Michaelwood services before Gloucester
