camped behind the bar in the grassy area the night before (be cautious of sprinklers). started at 7:30am, carabinieri pulled up to check IDs but didn't do anything. we stood right on the edge of the roundabout in front of the gas station. wouldn't recommend trying to hitchhike from here if you have other options. best to stay at an autogrill on the autostrada in my opinion and be cautious of police/carabinieri while doing it (two males)
