My girlfriend and I tried to hitchhike from Martvili to Mestia. Most people were only going to nearby towns, but there are some speed bumps along the road, which helped drivers notice us and our sign.
We got a ride to Didi Chkoni, and from there we caught a marshrutka heading towards Tsalenjikha. We chose this route because there wasn’t much traffic, and it seems take some time to catch another ride.
From Tsalenjikha, we found another ride to Lia, then continued to Jvari and finally Mestia.
