Hitchhiker

Slept there in a tent next to the resting area it was a pretty good spot for that In the morning I got a ride in less than a minute all the way to Flensburg (but even though I got lucky I would usually just ask people to bring you to the next bigger gas station with better traffic and try to get a long ride from there on)

This is a shitty spot to get north but there is some traffic to Hamburg I always prefer being dropped at a gas station or resting area where it's just one direction so if you have the opportunity for that do that I waited in the evening so there wasn't much traffic to Flensburg so I ended up waiting more than 2 hours until it got dark but luckily there is a resting area 2km away to which I just walked where I slept in my tent In the morning I got a ride from there on in less than a minute (but even though I got lucky with that I would usually just ask people to bring you to the next bigger gas station with better traffic and try to get a long ride from there on) So if you have the chance try to get dropped off there or at some gas station before this place And DONT trust people who never hitchhiked before in saying which spots are good to get the next ride had to learn it the hard way But if you're already there keep up the smile and good luck and keep in mind even if it doesn't work out you can just walk to the next better spot you're going to get a ride sooner or later anyways :)

Traffic in basically all directions I usually prefer places with traffic in just one direction so if you have the option for that that should be better than here but got lucky after 40min Waited with a Kolding/Denmark sign and got a ride north of Kolding If your heading to Denmark always watch out to get dropped at the next gas station especially if you're used the the frequency of German gas stations because there aren't many Usually it's way easier to get a ride at a gas station than it is in a city so better get dropped off 40km before and being at a gas station than taking this 40km ride (just trust me i learnt it the hard way) Good luck and have fun :)

Traffic could be better but isn't bad I waited about 40 minutes with a Hannover sign and got a ride all the way to Hamburg Most cars are from Kassel but there are a lot truck drivers 3 people stopped and said there heading to Dortmund Don't forget to smile and good luck :)
