Gacko is an experience. The power plant looks like a Call of Duty map for me. Got a ride with 4 people there to Nevesinje. But it's tough as there is almost no traffic. 2 of us waited more than 3 hours there for a ride.
Don´t start too early in the morning. We did and there was not too much traffic. After unsuccessfully trying to hitch the country road we came back split up and found a lift for each of us pretty quickly.
Stood here and further down at the gas station for about an hour. Was about to leave till a guy going to Zagreb took me to the last gas station before the Austrian border.
Wanted to go South and made the mistake of taking a ride to the newly built A49. There are only small gas stations and I could not really find someone there. So if you want to go South. Take at least a ride to Hasselberg Ost or Reinhardshain Nord as there are no suitable service stations in the Kassel area.
Got here by Bus 620 from Braunschweig city hall. Took me 50 minutes max. As there was not much traffic I was thumbing at the end of the service station. 10 minutes later I got a lucky lift all the way to Bruchsal West.
At first I was too lazy to speak to people and stood at the exit with a sign and my thumb. Didn't work out and as I started talking to people I got a lift very quickly.
Great spot to go to Zurich. We waited with a sign and the thumb at the exit. At first it didn't work out so we went closer to the gas station. I even got 10 Francs as a random gift for a "Wegbier".
We were hitchhiking from Freiburg South and had to wait around 75 min. It´s not a really good spot. So if you're going from Freiburg South. Try another option.
Coming from the Frankfurt area, I had a nice little break there. I think after 30-45 minutes asking at the main building, I had a ride to Offenburg. Will definitely come here more often.
