Looks risky, but works well.

I stood closer to the roundabout. Great place to go to Vannes/Lorient/Quimper.

Pretty good spot, not very busy, but in the direction of Nantes it gets the job done.

Traffic is sometimes a tad light,but keep your head and your thumb up.

I might be biased, I've frist found a ring there, and then got a ride in a sweet-ass white hummer. Only in Macedonia.

Remember: not every Mercedes is a taxi.

Plenty of buses go through here, either be ready to negotiate, or be careful what you wave at.

Shady area, speeding drivers. If you're heading to Podgorica better take the train. It's less than 2 euros, and the views are incredible.

The traffic was scarce, but we actually managed to get a ride all the way to Montenegro.

Slightly more complicated to get to Trebinje than to Montenegro, but possible.

It might seem like a good idea to hitchhike closer to the lights, but it isn't, unless your direction is Velika Gorica/Karlovac. If your direction is Osijek/Bosnia/Serbia I'd suggest thumbing before the entrance to the gas station, and really make yourself visible, because your drivers are most likely on the lanes closer to the middle. Tough place.

Getting though slovenia on hitchhiking was quite difficult, and it all started here. Bad luck I guess, But I've spend half of the day in this place.

Not much place to pull up, cars go fast, and I've never gotten that many middle fingers in one place. I would suggest avoiding it.

I don;t know which ones sucks more - this, or Budaors. Quite difficult to access too. After 7 hours(I'm not counting sleep), I;ve found a driver going straight to Poland.

In theory sweet spot, in practice it took an hour to find a car going to Budapest. Seems like a very decent spot though. As usual on hungarian petrol stations - caution advised at night.

Not only quickly got a ride. Quickly got a ride with the band Irie Mafia straight into the Szeged Festival. Good place.

Not what you would called the safest place, but one of the best options to go south from Szczecin
