The bus stop is just after the roundabout so it's not that good to thumb but just a few meters further is another area where cars can stop.Waitet about 30min for a ride towards Budapest. We realised later that the driver wasn't going via the highway but on the road 5 which still worked out fine as after about 40km comes a spot from where it's only 5km to get to a service area on the highway to Budapest.

We tried the evening before on the bus stop and and the spot right before the road goes to the high way to Zilina with the no pedestrians sign without success. Next day we tried from the bus stop for 25min with no luck then we decided that one of us should stand on the left side of the road as that's the lane ppl have to take going to Zilina and got a ride after 5 min.
Nice area to camp on the opposite side of the river to the public pool.

Got a rise to service area in the highway with holding a 5km sign. The driver told us to go to the northern service area as they have an open gate and then cross the bridge to get to the one heading Katowice.
