Hitchhiker

A nice guy helped us with a few km. He was going to Temesvara. Otherwise no cars going here. We were lucky to try stop him along the way and he did.

We walked along the road and tried with thumb to catch a ride. There is a lot of parking space just next to the door. Plenty of locals, but the rest is going to Temesvara.

It is on the road, but it is narrow part. In the evening it is calm and easy to stop.

We asked around and one guy took us very long distance behind Orsova.

A lot of locals. We had a luck that one kind guy took us on the highway to the petrol station. The place is good, the cars are going 50 and there is a bus station with a place to stop.

We tried to hitch a ride at the end of the of the parking lot, but for 3,5 hours nothing. Then we went to the pump and asked around and after 10 minutes we got a ride all the way to Szeged.

There was closed road from the highway, but luckily one women took us after McDonald's stop.

There was quite a lot of cars going up the mountain pass so we did not even stop from our walk, just showed my thumb and the first car next to us stopped. Unbelievable. The spot is alright. Not that much of space to stop in the north direction, but it is visible and cars are going slow.

Place is good, it is on the junction of roads and in the corner, so cars do not go so fast. We were there in the totally dark evening were wery lucky that a car came down from the mountains and went to our direction. We saw the guy in the previous village so he recognised us and took as.

It was already late and the sun went down, but we tried to get to the mountains. All the cars were stoping in the village for the hotels, so only few cars continued our way. Spot is good, visible, at the end of village, but the timing was terrible and we waited. One guy could take us, but we did not understand what is his plan, so we let him go. We took another one, he took us just u few km to the next junction in the middle of nowhere, but there, a few minutes later, we met the previous guy that took us to the destination. What a unbelievable luck.

2 persons We were waiting at the K+R place. I advise to stand little bit at the back, so you are not in a way of stopping cars, but also drivers have a time to see you.

The spot was not ideal as there was little space for a car to stop, but the cars drove slowly as there is roundabout. We got lucky that one nice guy stopped at the parking lot and took us.
