If you are heading to Patagonia, it might be worth it to take the cheap train to Bahia Blanca and start hitching from there. It will save you the hassle of getting out of Bs As―Teeshirt

Get a train ( la boca) from Plaza Constitucíon to Ezeiza (900pesos) and change to Cañuelas ( take about 1h15), -definitly the fastest way from the city- and walk to the entrance of the road 3.Got a truck to Bahia Blanca in less than 5 minutes!
