2 hours wait in the rain. There are many good spots to hitch from in Coffs. There is a sideline to pull up. I stayed between the BP station and turn to Marcia Street.

I was heading north to Byron Bay on the Pacific Highway when I decided that i'd make a detour for Nimbin. I decided to get out and walk here to wait for a ride to Lismore.

Walk past the merging lanes so the drivers to freak out about colliding with other cars. Once I did that and had my sign with 'Lis' on it, I found a ride within 5 minutes.

I'd only stop here if you're coming up from the south and don't want to go into Ballina / Byron.
