Hitching West towards Perth: this spot is walkable from town, and this street becomes the highway you follow to Perth. Between Lionel St and Throssel St there is parking by the side of the road where cars can pull over, you can get a lift at least to the edge of town.―Anonymous

Hitching North to Menzies, or South/East to Norseman, Esperance, Adelaide, Sydney. Stand at the parking for the shops and wait for cars turning onto the Bypass road behind you. You can walk here from town, easy.―Anonymous

Hitching west towards Perth: A little further past the lights at Gatacre St, there are driveways and parking lots of businesses where cars can pull in, and you can stand safely by the road, very visible from the lights. All cars out of town will pass this point.―Anonymous
