Hitchhiked by night, lots of traffic coming back from snow day in Whistler. Red light is long enough to go between cars with a sign. Once you got a ride, they can easily pull over if needed, after the traffic light.Gas station also available, didn't try tho.
Got a ride from Cedric, a French guy who travel a lot as well. Good convo as we were jammed in traffic.

Probably got lucky on this one.Short waiting time, I've only seen a few trucks and one car going this way. While driving, almost no traffic passed us before we reached Kamloops.
Dave, a truck driver, stopped and brought me all the way to Vancouver, despite not necessarily being allowed. He offered me lunch and when he stopped at night, he offered me to sleep in his truck. In the morning, he waited for me and dropped me close to a train stop so I could keep going downtown

Not such a bad spot if you're going east - I even got a ride after dark. Easy access to public transit, good viewing distance, room to pull over, an adjacent empty lot to sleep in if your luck is not so good.―Anonymous

Two boys (one with dredlocks) = 5 hours of waiting without succcess. After 5 hours we moved to the different spot and never waited more than 1,5h on the way to Kelowna.
But place looks like very good: lots of cars passing not so fast with lots of space to stop.

Much traffic going east. Good spot, drivers can pull over. Waiting time about 30 min. They take you and they take you a long time ;-) Canada rocks!―Anonymous

Actually the map is a bit messy anyway when u turn right at the previous juction from the main street i did walk like on the entrance of the freeway up yo the split where the right go upward and the left straight into the freeway i waited at that junction car usually slow. Due to the high density of the congestion so basicly after less than 10 min a car wave at me and he didnt had to stop i just jumped in ! Took me 350 km up i wass heading to alaska but of course wasnt expecting s traight lift lol, and wass 16:20 . So really good spot―Anonymous

Its illgal but i did it and a very good spot , just as u tur right from the main tstreet to the entrance ( no curb ) went into the split concree where both go to hope and took theleft side the one whos going straight to the freeway , less than 5 min as the entryence is really packed due to the density of traffic so car did t even had to stop he just keep rolling very slowly and waved me to jump in !―Anonymous
