I went there by bus after trying unsuccessfully to hitchhike from the city center.Closest place that you can reach by bus from Dieppe / Moncton.
I tried here because the main highway ramp (close to the airport) was too far away by foot (45 minutes walk from the bus stop).
But I don't think the spot is really good.
Good traffic but no hard shoulder for car to stop so it can make driver reluctant to pick you up.
But I decided to give it a chance and got lucky with a driver that stopped to bring me all the way to Port Hawkesbury.

Very good spot.A lot of trafic because of all the shops around, trafic light so the cars have time to see you, space for cars to stop.
Waited a short time to get a direct ride to Moncton, I was quite lucky.

I was standing on a different corner of this intersection until someone rolled down their window and suggested this spot because the truckers segue straight to the TCH. I did just that and after 1-2 hours a trucker slowed. It's a good spot because the traffic light has a short cycle so the queue gets backed up and cars can see you while waiting for the green light―MrFahrenheit

This is the Big Stop, lots of truckers and a diner to eat with wife. It was sheer luck I got a ride as the dude that saw me missed his exit and circled back, and when he saw I was still waiting, he gave me a ride. Better luck with a trucker―MrFahrenheit

Take the bus from Moncton to this place, otherwise too much local traffic.―Anonymous

There aren't a ton of cars, but definitely enough, and a good enough place to stop. Make sure you stand far back enough so that cars coming out of Moncton will see you and maybe stop as well. Got a ride going all the way to Montreal after about half an hour.―Ofercarmon

Good for going West. Possibly East though too. Check out the Big Stop to the west if you want a ride East.―Anonymous

Waited about an hour. Not a lot of traffic. Might get lucky though―Sargentnickptsd

Not sure if it's a good spot to go east.Very bit roundabout with 3 lines so people are going quickly and will stay on the central line to go to the highway.
And it's in the city center so many people are staying in town.
But if you are lucky, there is plenty of space to pull over.
I waited there one hour before deciding to find another spot.
