Good spot if you want to go in Toronto or in the direction of Detroit.
I waited 10 minutes. And if it's raining there is a bridge under which you can take shelter.

Not a hitching spot, but a great place to have a hike (around 2-3 hours, and beautiful).

As you walk down the tall metal stairs and keep heading south and south, finding your way through all of the paths, stick to the river banks, walk around the whirlpool, mind snakes on the way, then on the last stretch the path disappears, but if you keep walking south parallel to the river bank, making your way safe through the forest, you will shortly (maybe half a km after the end of the path, I don't remember that well now) arrive near a fence that surrounds a touristy boardwalk. After you climb over it (low fence and there's no one checking, just quite a lot of tourist), walk south on the boardwalk and you'll arrive at an elevator that can take you up to the city.

Hitching west towards Hamilton, then possibly Toronto.

Some place to pull over, some traffic, sooner or later something will stop.

Not the best place to hitchike as no space for care to pull in properly , but it work as fine , as their is the right lane going right , took me 35 min for a bus of passenger to take me all the way to Toronto !
