We stood just before the highway, behind the guard rail. Big sign saying no stopping / hitching. But... A car stopped before police we saw any police.There are tunnels to get around the roundabout without playing Frogger in the road.
Hitch towards limmasol / larnaca / lefkosia (Nicosia)
The roundabout is hard for someone to stop in. They could, maybe, but it'd be dangerous and no one seemed to stop there. Also, not great luck at the gas station 6min walk from there.
If all else fails, there is a bus stop about 5min walk from the gas station with intercity busses going every hour or so. Between 4-8 euro, depending on which city.
