Easy by talking in French to ask for N10 (cheaper and few minutes longer)―Anonymous

spent 30 minutes at this spot standing by the advert at the edge of the roundabout, got taken directly to Bordeaux. Not the best spot as drivers don't have much time to consider their decision, but should serve to take you south out of Nantes. We took the 4 to Bourdonniéres and walked there.―brunk

I met another hitchhiker going the other direction here. She went after the gates, I went in front. She arranged the ride for me. Thanks again May!―Anonymous

Had à sign Poitiers and nobody took so we decided to up our thumb and someone nice who had nothing to do of their afternoon (bc blocked outside of home) helped us reach the nearest peage. We waited for 2 hours so I would not recommand―Lulin

Nice for taking a ride to the South. There's no péages at Bordeaux's rocade of Bordeaux so it's easy to ask for a stop at some of the "sorties" (exit from A10 - roundabout for leave the car - return to A10.―Anonymous

Got a ride to Bordeaux within 4 min without a sign. There is place for cars stop.Seems to be great to catch a car that comes from the west and that want to join the A83 going South.

I hitchhiked during holiday season, so there were a lot of cars that were full so I didn't try to ask. After an hour, a car that was going south of Bordeaux to the A63 took me, without a sign.

hard to reach, took us like 15 minutes by foot from the bus-station.we hitched on a sunday, so not that many people came by heading north!but i'm sure it works better on weekdays!can't recommend it, better to take another spot for direction Paris―Anonymous

To reach this gas station:Take the Tramway A, to "Gravières". Follow the street Rue des Gravières, Rue François Villon. At the crossroads, tkae Avenue de Paris. There is a small road parallel at this street, take it (rue Jean Raymond Guyon). It ends to a roundabout but here is a small old pedestrian road. Take it. Cross the bridge that crosses the highway. From it, you can see the Gas station. The fences are broken so you can walk easily to it.
Ask for going to the next gas station, just before "Saint André de Cubzac" if nobody takes the A10. At the next petrol station, there is a restaurant, so a lot more people.
I've never waited to long.

This is the best spot to Paris! This is the last gas station before the toll. With restaurant and a large gas station.
I usually ask for there from Bordeaux when drivers don't use the A10.

Also a very bad place to hitchhike and try to get out of the city. No space for drivers to pull over and cars are driving way too fast!―Anonymous

I had some difficulties to reach the gasstation because the old pedestrian way lays in the middle of an industry zone that is renovated at the moment. (octobre 2009)―Anonymous
