I rate it 3/5 for south, for north 4-5/5After a long time a guy going to Bonn, but we told him to drop us on a highway 3km from Wallau, cuz it was a traffick jam, then we walked to the city

Nice spot for Nurnberg, we just hang around the gas station where cars could safely park and got taken to restplatz under Wurzburg (bad if you want to go more south)―Stokars

A lot of car going to North A3, but some are traveling south. It took me 2h to wait for direct ride to Freiburg, but then it was very fast ride and directly to the place I need. The spot is good, with nice view and not so expensive (relative to other petrol stations). Many foreign car, mostly NL, but some B as well. People are friendly and it is worth to try to speak directly to them. During 2 hours of waiting 4 drivers offer me a ride to north, but I politely declined as there is no better spot further north to hhike south. You just need to be patient here

A great spot if you are heading north along A3. For half an hour I was standing with a sign A6 Heilbronn, but nobody stopped. I changed my sign to Nuremberg and immediately car stoped and took me to Wurzburg Nord gas station. From there it will be more chances to go south.―Anonymous

Stood at the end with a sign for a bit, no luck. Then the first truck driver i asked took me all the way to Pilsen. I think had a lot of luck tho.I was heading to Czechia so i just asked the trucks with czech plates. But there was a lot of traffic so i think its a fine spot to Nuremberg or east in general.―stepanfoj

Got here in the evening at 6, had no luck for the rest of the day, so i slept in the woods ( lots of nice spots). In the morning it took 15 minutes to get a ride to Wurzberg. Good spot.―stepanfoj

I switched trucks here, and it was not bad. There is a larger truck stop down the road, but I think this one was kinda nice. Some normal cars stop here as well, but I had no luck with them.―Anonymous

after while lady and man took us, they went to Frankfurt, but we missed our south-west direction before Nürnberg due to lack of gas stations, so we were told to continue to Frankfurt, we decided to get drop at Würzburg with hope of sombody going left for A81 (bad idea, should go Frankfurt with them)―Anonymous

Technically good stop, but for the way accross Germany to Luxembourg which was our goal. We were freezing and already giving up when a guy took us to better gas station.―Anonymous

Good spot behind the border, cars go slow, plenty of space to stop. It was the longest ride that day.―Anonymous

Asked people if they go south and Olaf took me to Würzburg. 4/5 because it's a little less traffic―Anonymous

Held up a sign with Erfurt/Leipzig/Berlin and my thumb out on a Sunday noon. Got picked up after 40 minutes for a 90km ride to an autobahn gas station and from there it was easy sailing (asked people directly and two more drivers gave me a ride within a few minutes)―Anonymous
