It's a highway, which is not quite allowed to hitchhike, but I saw no other option. Cars go extremely fast and barely notice you. I got lucky and a kind Greek truck driver picked me up and drove after Greevena. There's a place to stop kinda though―Anonymous

I wanted to visit Meteora so I left highway and went this road for few kilometers with my thumb up.Very low traffic, but they go slow. Managed to find ride after around 1 hour of walking. Got dropped off at the amazing travelers place where I could rest. Totally recommend going there

a lot of cars passing, may not be the best spot as there is not that much room and its on a highway, tho I got lucky and one Albanian man stopped and took me around 90km towards Ioaninna. Cant find the exact spot he dropped me off, tho he was headed for Grevena and had to leave me on the highway.―KIRO

A guy just let my there and I stayer for 2-3 hours and then just left to the clothest city to take a bus because it was to warm and no one were going to take me (honnestly greek people don't take you a lot generally)―Baveux

We started waiting a the station then changed mind and started walking towards Kalambaka, this was probably a bad idea because most of the time car couldn't see us but after more than an hour of waiting some albanian workers took us directly to Kalambaka to see Meteora. Wouldn't recommend to go to Kalambaka though, probably better to go South of Mount Olympus and through Trikala―Alexis
