Povas esti iom streĉa se vi estas sola, ĉar ŝajnas, ke iam homoj iras tien por feki aŭ drogi sin.Plej grave, memoru, neniam akceptu Mecovon se vi ne iras tien, minimume estas "grevená", mi petas.
La ulo, kiu haltigis min, parolis telefone kaj mi simple ensaltis antaŭ ol kontroli pro timo resti tie tro longe sen scii, ke Mecovo estas multe pli malfacila, kvankam tre bela kaj trankvila vilaĝo.

Was trying to hitchhike to Thessaloniki.Quite many cars, part of them heading in the direction of Thessaloniki.
But during the 6h there none stopped to pick me up.
One stopped to offer water, but was not going my way.

The spot had okay visibility, even after sundown, but not that much space to pull over, however it felt rather safe. Only few cars pulled over and most of them were not going to Igoumenitsa. At the end we got picked Up by a nice couple who brought us directly to the port.―Anonymous

terrible. perfect conditions to be taken to albanian border, bus stop where cars can easily stop, a lot of traffic. waited over 3 hours, nobody stopped people were just laughing at me. then my water bottle was empty and i gave up. would recommend to take the bus until kakavi (border). once in albania found a ride in 10minutes.―Anonymous

i had a lift from there within half an hour straight to thessaloniki. not the savest spot for cars to stop - but since there's not a lot of traffic its ok. just how to get there from ioannina?―Anonymous

It may be a good spot, just at the entrance, you can't get closer to the highway...I might have been lucky though, but a couple of travelers gave me a lift and I didn't even raise the thumb ! They saw my backpack they understood

Take the IKEA bus (free!) from Ioannina center, just make sure you get off at the highway (i was told to get off at ikea.. had to walk back!)―Outsideyourworld
