It is a spot in the Highway, has good visibility and some time to Break. Not ideal thoough. We used a sign saying "Saloniki". We got picked up by a Truck after about 15min on the highway. He dropped us of somewhere in the suburbs.―Anonymous

It is on a highway so a bit dangerous but the emergency lane is wide. All cars here have to go to Bulgaria. Note: it is illegal to stay on highway, so better catch a ride fast :)―Imchoo

Had a super weird guy pick me up and I needed to get out of the car so I had him drop me here but it’s not a good spot. Even though there is a shoulder cars are to fast. I gave up after an hour and walked 1 hour to sidirokastro, where I got a ride to the border but it was very lucky―MrZachyPants

Can’t particularly recommend but if you get dropped here this is probably the best spot to the border. Don’t accept rides that don’t go to the border, there is nowhere else to hitchhike, I got stuck in a tiny town and had to walk 3 hours―MrZachyPants
