I've done this spot twice, both of them after 21:00. Once i was with a girl, that helped me get a ride, but the other time i had to sleep there and continue the next morning. Most rides are small distances, and long distances are packed.―Beatnickgr

not a good spot, most people go to Lamia or turn to some villages soon after the station. luckily we got a lift almost to Volos in less then hour.―Bakuch

stayed there for two hours talking to everybody, no way to get a ride, bus drivers were trying to charge a lot of money... in the end good people paid for the fare!!!―Anonymous

It's a gas station with a goody's restaurant. it's easy to find someone who goes in towns but for longer htiches it is harder.. Next to it is a small village where you've got an internetcafe.―Anonymous

One of the best hitchhiking spots to go north to Thessaloniki, and easily to Istanbul. There are the thermal baths (for free), a really hot waterfall and a natural swimming pool. There are almost always turkish truck drivers who stop there for a hammam.―Anonymous

Heading south: Terrible place for HH. Dear Hikers try to avoid this town! Seldom spots to thump. I had to hike 4 hours out of town to get to a gas station on the highway towards Rio. Good luck to all!―Legolas
