There is a lot of space for cars to stop and they can see you from a reasonable distance.You don’t really have to go this far to get out of the city but I thought it would be better.
Write in greek and count on doing small steps so writing the nearest “big” city : it worked better this way for me :)

May not seem like a great spot on google maps but in fact cars are not really fast+ they stop wherever they want in general aha (there is a small place to stop otherwise after the street lamp)Got a ride the kallonis very quickly (with a sign written in greek and english (but, excepted during the summer, the English is not very useful : almost only locals on the island))
