Not the best spot for cars to stop, we were heading towards Preveza and got a ride until Missolonghi after waiting for some time

Direction Patra / Athens
Before the traffic lights, a small rocky parallel road is the place to hitchhike.
Unless it's difficult to stop there, greek people do it (they don't fear breaking the rules on the road).

Direction south / Pyrgos / Kalamata
Take the bus number 6, ask the driver or someone to stop you at "Tofalos Stadium"
Good place, many cars, place to stop.

The students are sometimes giving lifts to the city center.

Direction: Nafpaktos, Itea, Delfi. There are traffic lights and a little bit of place for cars to stop.

Direction: Athens. The only cars that were stopping were taxis. Also be wary of the immigrants in this area. Gave up after three hours.

Best place to hitch-hike to Athens. Just after the toll stations. There's a shade and the cars even go to a full stop. Either stand behind the toll station or go face to face and talk to the drivers. It's common to HH in Greece like that.
