big shoulder, decent amount of traffic on a bank holiday, good visibility, roundabout-slowness―rot

soo I thought this spot wasn't good when looking on the map but I was told local people be hitching from herethere's a big shoulder to stop on, cars already on road are pretty fast but the ones just turning have time to see you

going to Cavan is prolly always easy from here, loads of space, good visibility, roundabout slowness―rot

I'd say anywhere here on this road is as good a spot as the other, cars are going slow through derrylin, here there's space to pull into petrol station, decent amount of cars, signed for cavan―rot

quiet enough road around 3 on a thursday, could be a while waiting for a lift here but also its probably a busier spot around rush hour.―Leslie

this town is where i first started hitchhiking many years ago! the n3 which passes through here takes traffic going to cavan, monaghan, enniskillen, donegal and bundoran, lots of hgv and cars in general, plus holiday goers in the summer. took a ride to cavan after 5 minutes.―Leslie

signed for enniskillen, mostly local drivers or people turning off towards monaghan. sign for butlers bridge or belturbet to filter the traffic. i was a while getting a loft but it was also a rainy day and i looked fairly crusty.―Leslie

its pretty sketch to stand on the side of the road here in the rain, especially with the amount of trucks going by, but theres room plenty to pull in. signed for enniskillen.―Leslie
