I was dropped off at Kilmeaden as it attaches to the Cork Road. But i think the map is wrong here.Anyway, Going to Cork, I waited 5 minutes at the bus stop in the village before the Centra Shop. Its a busy road which i do believe the village is on the main Cork-Waterford Road―Anonymous

don't listen to the other spots, this is THE BEST hitching spot to go to Dublinsmall space to pull over before roundabout: walk few metres before that and sign from there, very busy sunday mid-day

for hook head, duncannon or dunmore east. many drivers leaving waterford will take this road to get on the ferry at passage east and then on to hook head. got a direct lift across the channel and all the way to the point. sign for passage east.―Leslie
