We got drop off here from a small ride out of Waterford. There is an "extra lane" for a few hundred metres, so really easy for cars to stop. As it is between two round abouts, cars were not going too fast (it's a two lane road though, so a bit fast !)

Big sidewalk next to the road. There is a traffic light and an industrial area entrance, so really easy for drivers to stop. Quick walk from the city centre. We got a ride from someone who drop us at the edge of the city bypass, just before the exit we needed (N24)

It's a really safe and easy to access spot. We got lucky though, because it's still quite near the city, so many directions possible for drivers. Our driver was heading Waterford and immediately pick us up !

People just drive off from the roundabout and there’s a hard shoulder to pull over to.

I was dropped off at Kilmeaden as it attaches to the Cork Road. But i think the map is wrong here.Anyway, Going to Cork, I waited 5 minutes at the bus stop in the village before the Centra Shop. Its a busy road which i do believe the village is on the main Cork-Waterford Road

i was making my sign when someone pulled in :) be careful getting dropped into waterford, try get a ride into town directly, the bypass is tricky amd dangerous to navigate.

small space to pull over before roundabout: walk few metres before that and sign from there, very busy sunday mid-day

for hook head, duncannon or dunmore east. many drivers leaving waterford will take this road to get on the ferry at passage east and then on to hook head. got a direct lift across the channel and all the way to the point. sign for passage east.
