Great access from Komori bus stop.For going eastwards, I recommend standing just behind where the ETC entrance enters the parking lot, to be seen by basically every car, yet being "safe" behind a bollard.
Huge amounts of cars coming through, so I aimed for a ride all the way to Kyoto or at least Kobe, waiting time was accordingly. This ride even continued past Kyoto two nights after and the night after that even getting me to Toyama, although the driver's destination was in the vicinity of Takayama.

Big SA near Onomichi and Fukuyama with access from Bingo-Akasaka station (3km walk). Is open to the outside, so no sneaking-in required. Has an excellent spot just outside a dog run where you can hitch from.―Anonymous
