Entered the northbound service area very easily through the translucid sliding exit door (big 出口 in red) by the road. Good way to get to Nagano from Kofu city.―arcvelit

Large service area. It's a bit too far from the train stations, but if you're trying to leave Matsumoto or somewhere else nearby it still might be more worthwhile taking the train here then walking than waiting at the interchange.There's also an onsen in the service area, should you be in desperate need of a bath.

Parking Area is easily accessible. I used the one towards north/east (Matsumoto), so I’m not sure about the other side.It has vending machines and a shop with food but no Konbini.
I asked a truck driver to take me. Was there at 6am in the morning, so not much traffic. But it seems decently sized, so I guess you will get your ride if you are patient. It’s a 12 minutes walk from Magome-Juku
