There are many people driving from Sokcho to Seoul. You just need to find a nice spot that is close to "Misiryeong Tunnel". You don't even need a sign as you can reject shorter rides and wait for a direct ride to Seoul.―Anonymous

Really good place. The service area is reachable by bus + walk (bus n°4+ bus n°17, look on Naver map for the itinerary). We (a couple) waited 10min and got a direct ride to Sokcho (even if we had a sign for Hongcheon).Thumb+sign.
