Militar check point makes people feel safe about stoping, there is usually people asking ride to Puerto Vallarta, and Tepic. There is a Guadalajara Bus Route that can take you here, is signs "Bosque" It also leaves you in the entrance to the Bosque Primavera, great place for camping.―Anonymous

On that big road (the hwy to the East), go left, crossing Av.Patria, still walking and you will see a Pemex gas station, where there are many cars, pick ups and trucks going East (Mexico DF, Morelia, Guanajuato, etc)
Tomas un bus hacia la nueva central camionera, a fuera hay un soriana, pues en esa carretera principal vas hacia la izquierda (como volviendo a Gdl), cruzarás Av.Patria, y en seguida llegarás a una gasolinera Pemex
