Here is the place where I started a nomadic art project related with hitchhiking in Mexico. I painted in white on the asphalt my own shadow projected on the road with my thumb up. I did this action in all the right places in Mexico City to get out from the city.
I painted the first shadow in that place, near the art college of Mexico City, ENAP. It's an abandoned petrol station. I think it's not a really good spot for hitchhiking, but I just wanted to explain the project here.
If you want to know more info about this, you can contact with me: aniol.macau@gmail.com THANKS! and good trip!

That’s a good spot if you want to hitch from Mexico to the south of the republic (directions: Cuernavaca, Tepoztlan, Oaxtepec, Chilpancingo, Acapulco). There’s a toll where you can ask for a raid but if it’s not possible, you go walking 200 meters from the toll to a bar next to the road, in your right hand. In that place you’re going to find a painted white shadow (my own shadow with the thumb up) on the asphalt, this is an art project I’ve been working in Mexico City, painting different shadows in all the right places to get out from the city. this rating is for the Central de Abastos near Iztapalapa, SE of downtown. It can be a good place to catch long rides with truckers if you speak good Spanish or maybe are a good looking gringa! Check out the Pension (tractor trailer parking lot) to chat up drivers. However, many of them stay here for days or weeks at a time. So, while you might get lucky, it is much easier to catch rides out on the freeway. take a bus to the Cuota if you're headed on 57 towards Queretaro.

Auta jadą dość szybko, te które jadą w kierunku Puebli poruszają się na dalszych pasach
