Rather be at the end of the gas station, but not a very good spot because of. Cars go too fast and not a lot of people stopping at the gas station.Young truck driver going home to Mérida, offered to host me with his family as we arrived late at night.

Pemex gas station right infront of the driveway to campeche. i needed 30min to find a ride. unfortunately there is not so much traffic going in direction Campeche in general―Anonymous

There's some buses/colectivos that go to the area around the puente, walk about 200m down the round and there's a hard shoulder where cars can pull over. Waited about 10 mins for a ride to campeche, but plenty of traffic going further afield too―Anonymous

There's a gas station here you can get close-ish to by bus. Hitching highway traffic too is recommended.―Zenit
