One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from Olișcani to Rădoaia (successful?).
Good visibility. Not really a place to pull over, but the traffic was so slow that it wasn't a problem. Shade on the other side of the road. I was going there between cars.
The 3rd car (less than 5 minutes of waiting) stopped and the driver took me to Florești. He was extra nice and he dropped me at the end of the town.

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from Sănătăuca to Olișcani (successful).
I was dropped at the junction by the previous driver and I walk to the end of a bus bay, after which there was a gravel bay. There was some shade. Good visibility.
After 10 minutes a guy stopped and gave me a ride to my destination. He was superb kind. I got a souvenir from him. A couple of plastic coins from Transnistria, which I was hoping to get but I wasn't able to get while travelling there.

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a very sunny day. On my way from the village Rashkov to Kamionka (successful).
I was walking first 15 minutes hitchhiking. Then I reached this spot with shade and waited 5 minutes. A guy gave me a lift to the end of the village. He was actually offering to drive me all the way to Kamionka but I didn't want to overuse his kindness and I refused to accept that offere.

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a very sunny day. On my way from Dubasari to Ribnica (successful).
I got dropped at the junction before that spot by the previous driver.
There is an ex petrol station which was turned into a pub. It was closed when I was there. There entry to the old petrol station is a good place to pull over. A few steps away there is shade. I was hiding there between cars. Not busy traffic. Very good visibility.
After 15 minutes a very positive woman gave me a lift to Rashkov. She told me a few things about that place. Thanks to her I found out about the Polish cemetery (which I'd probably missed), where she dropped me.

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a very sunny day. On my way from Ribnica to a village Rashkov (successful).
I wasn't a fan of that place, but it was good enough. And I didn't want to walk more. There is shade and a bay to pull over. The place is between curves, so the visibility isn't the best, but good enough. Not very busy traffic.
After 20 minutes a guy offered me a taxi service (asked for money). The only time in Transdniestria it happened. I thanked him.
5 minutes later I got a ride to Belochi (15 kms).

Pretty easy to Orhei and Chisinau, harder if you’re going north. I was planning on going north but decided at the last minute to just take a ride to Orhei to check out the monasteries

An okay spot, seems like some locals use it too. A lot of local traffic here. Further up the road might be better? Can’t say for sure, this spot is still fine

Not a hitchhike but this is a note that this border CAN be crossed by foot (very easily, in fact), as of March 2026

Border guards had no problem with me hitchhiking. I took a ride from the first car that stopped, which turned out to be just going only a few minutes into town. Maybe best to just walk/get a ride to the other end of Rezina and hitch from there? Note that if you choose to walk across town, you will be met with a very imposing tower of stairs :)

Correction to the previous review.
Of course it was on the way from Ribnica to a village Rashkov.
