One male 40+, no sign, one big and one small backpacks, very sunny day. On my way from Subic Manila. Not the best place. Coz it's urban area. Also quite busy traffic. But I got dropped nearby so I didn't have much choice. On the good side, there is loads of room to stop. Good visibility. And a bit of shade from a pole.
I got supperb lucky. After 10 minutes a lorry stopped and took me all the way to Manila.

One male 40+, no sign, one big and one small backpacks, very sunny day. No shade. On my way from Subic to Manila. It looks like a great spot. An entrance to the highway. Cars are going slowly yet. An extra shoulder making loads of space to stop. But....
It's officially a highway already. You will pass a sign baning pedestrians. To make it worse there is a police booth 50 meters away. And it was manned. But I tried my luck. I'm not sure if the policeman didn't see me or didn't want to see me, be he didn't come to me. After 5 minutes a car stopped. He wanted to take me back to Olangapo bus station. In the end he agreed to take me to San Fernando. But during the ride it turned out that he was going only half way. I got passed off, coz he took me off the highway.

One male 40+, no sign, one big and one small backpacks, sunny day. On my way from Angeles to Cabanatuan. It was my second time using this spot. Please read the description in a previous post.
This time I waited 5 minutes and again I got a ride only to Capas.

One male 40+, no sign, one big and one small backpacks, very sunny day. On my way from Subic to Angees.A very good spot. Loads of space to stop and good visibility. Plus the shade. I was straggling all day. This part of the Philippines wasn't good for me. Until I reached this spot. After 5 minutes I got a lift all the way to Angeles - my destination.

One male 40+, no sign, one big and one small backpacks, sunny day. On my way from Angeles to Malasiqui. It was actually the first spot free of houses, vendors, shops etc. coming from Angeles center.
Decent enough. On a curve, but with quite some space to stop, and you will be visible from far. The traffic still busy, bus ok. Better than in the city itself.
After 15 minutes a motorbike stopped. He said he was going to Tarlac. Actually he was going only that direction. He dropped me in the middle of Capas. Which meant a long walk to find a new good spot. But then quickly I got a new ride.

One male 40+, no sign, one big and one small backpacks, sunny day. On my way to Angeles.I was actually waiting for a jeepney (a local mini bus). But there was so much space to stop before the bridge, that is would be a crime not to try. So while waiting I put a thumb up and 2 minutes later a got a ride. The driver actually dropped me where I needed in the city.
