The best point for hiking to Saint-Petersburg from Moscow, IMHO, take free bus from Rechnoy vokzal metro station to "Kapitoliy" shopping mall, go under the Moscow ring road, it's from the right side of "Kapitoliy" and you'll on the bus stop Butakovo (Бутаково on Russian). Or another way: take suburban train (16,5 roubles) from Petrovsko-Razumovskaya station in Moscow to Khimki and just go to the left side from the station. Try to hike, but only with sigh with place where you would like to go.―Anonymous
