Busy gas station even late in the vening. I was trying to go to poland from here and didnt know which route should i take. Trough rzeszow or krakow but some nice guys where going to banska bystryca so i just decided going to poprad. More progress in the day because it didnt seem that anyone would go to poland at that time of the day. But in hindsight there would be maybe more polish traffic going to rzeszow but idk. There was not a lot of traffic and most of it was going towards budapest but found one truck going pas kosice so he was my savoiur and took me exactly in my direction. But shoudl eventually work if you are going north from here. Going budapest shoudl be very easy.―kiausiniuvagis

Maybe we were unlucky. Only local traffic and nobody going to the highway. After nearly two hours someone took us 20 minutes to Hungary where we took a train to Budapest.―martin00

i found a ride to hatvan just before budapest just after 3 cars asking

not a very good spot for me actuallyi tried on a week day to reach budapest but no success, i leave my big sign here ahahah i’m sure u’ll find it
a guy took me after 2h to the next gas station just before hungary but it was though
good luck that spot is not very very good for long distance, slovaquia is hard for hitchhiking

i’ve tried to hitchhike from here to kosice with a sign and that was not very good….full of space to stop but very most of them are locals or just don’t want to stop
wish u good luck u have to be very patient for kosice from here (work for me after 1:30)

Good spot, a lot of cars passing by and there is a bus stop for the cars to get you. There is also traffic lights so from time to time cars even fully stop here/have to slow down. Unfortunately now there is new road around Košice so trucks and more people don't go here anymore.―Tobo

Genuinely the best place I have hitchhiked in my life. As s0on as I arrived, someone asked if I was going to Kosice and gave me a lift. Very easy, there's a highway- plenty of traffic and a place for lots of cars to be at, at the Mcdonalnds.―Anonymous
