Here is the spot I used to hitchhike for one year when comin back from the university Al Qalamoon to Damascus. Never waited more than 10min. Moreover, we were 3 that time. If you want to hitchhike in Syria, good think to know is that you just have to raise your hand whenever and wherever you want. Someone will always take you after only few seconds/minutes waiting.
