Great spot, you’re on the main road, there’s a traffic light so cars will be slower, and there’s enough space for you to stand and be safe. Most people will probably go to Kaohsiung or pass it. Told you Taiwan is amazing to hitchhike

Got dropped off at the train station 10 min walk from here. This is a rather good place because it’s parallel to the big road leading south, so people driving there might stop here to eat first. Found a direct hitch to Hengchun even though it was 7-8 pm

This is a very famous spot in Taiwan so you’ll most definitely find some people to help you bring back on the main road

Very good spot to hitchhike south (and very likely north as well). Did it twice, both in the middle of random days and both times it was very easy to get picked up

Quick and easy ride to go to Baishawan. When the boat comes back from Orchid island there’s many cars so it’s very quick (my case)
