After light's have a gas station good for ask people and hitchhike. (Write "Chiang Rai" on a piece of cardboard or ask a local to write it in Thai.)―Tafo

The perfect place to hitchhike to Chiang Mai because the road goes straight there. There is a gas station and a 7/11 so cars go slow and there are plenty of places to stop. I started at 7:30am and within 5-6 minutes I was picked up by a car―Nadi
