The perfect place to hitchhike to Chiang Mai because the road goes straight there. There is a gas station and a 7/11 so cars go slow and there are plenty of places to stop. I started at 7:30am and within 5-6 minutes I was picked up by a car

Not the best Spot, cars on 2 lanes passing very fast.

Right after the intersection, great spot for going north. Cars go slower after the lights and there is heaps of space for pulling up. I stayed a bit after the abandoned police station. Got a ride to Chiang Mai with a sign in Thai in 20 minutes. There is another spot on the hitchmap next to 7/11 but if you hitch during the day this spot after the intersection is much better.

Good spot for going north. Right after intersection there is heaps of space to pull up. Cars will be going slower after the red light. Great spot for hitching to Chiang Mai

If all the bus from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai are full, walk from the bus station here. About 10min. We made a sign "Chiang Rai". Alternated thumbs up and hand down symbols. Got a ride 25min out of town. From there continued hitching and waited less than 5min each time.

Good spot , lot of cars but many people se till going around . Sometimes many scooters beside the road don’t let drivers see you . But still a nice spot

Good spot to wait for a car, some shade under the trees (necessary in mid day), at the exit of Esso gas station. I waited around an hour, and got a ride for Tak.
