I got a quick ride to Phitsanulok. I hitched from the ramp onto the motorway with a sign in Thai and English below Phitsanulok. I used the vertical wave gesture. Good spot for getting north―CarlitosPL

many many cars heading north. small layby for stopping (its thailand, so no need for gas station to wave cars down, they stop anywhere!) found a lift to nakhon sawan quite quick. remember to use both western and asian methods of stopping cars (western thumb and asian vertical hand wave)―Anonymous

Hitched here for a bit but wasn't paying attention to the merging lane in front of the highway so most cars were turning left. It's a great town to visit from bangkok via train and then walk to this hitching location.―Anonymous
