I found a direct ride from Hat Yai to Bangkok. This man was coming from a business trip and headed back home. He treated me for lots of food and even offered me a room for a night in Surat Thani, as we made a stop there for the night to then continue the drive the next morning.―Anettlee17

Pretty good spot, hid in the shade of a signpost. Lots of space for cars to stop. Trucks too. Had 6 people stop, ask if I was ok, and offer to take me to the bus station. Difference between Thailand and Cambodia was very obvious.―Kjmurray1230
