Not the busiest service station. The one's closer to Istanbul are probably way busier. It had maybe 10 cars and 4 trucks on a tuesday afternoon. But it still works.―VeikkaK

Got dropped there 2016 by truck taking different turn.The drainage itself is like 3 m wide and could be used to stop the car there.
There used to be parked in the concrete drainage a scooter for sale.
Lifted up quite quick by truck.

Got dropped here 2016 on way back to Sofia.Nice spot with a lot of space to stop, at the day almost no traffic so even easier. No direct shade.
Nowadays they added one more line to highway and cut the bushes/trees around so even less shade possible.
Few police motorbikes passed by, they took, all of them, the right turn.
They noticed me, started standing up on their bikes while looking at me, but since they were driving too fast, they were unable to pull over - so I wasn't checked.
Got picked up by truck driver quite fast, but he wasn't going much further on highway, only nearest city exit.

Exactly. This is Turkey and you can just hitch right on the highway. Even when cars go fast, they will stop for you.―Tomtom

The truck driver left us here (on the highway): it's not really good spot because they haven't place to stop (only in the emergency lane) and they drive really fast.―Anonymous

you just stay at the highway, police don’t care xdgot a huge truck just stoping on the side after 10 minutes of waiting
and the place is absolutely beautiful, seems nice for camping

Gas station is currently being renovated, but it is not indicated so a lot of cars still stop. Also a restaurant and truck stop.A lot of fields and abandoned buildings where you can easily sleep if you are stranded at night, like I was.
