I had a ton of luck. A commercial minivan stopped and told me to get it. Prepared I said ‚para yok‘ (no money) and he insisted that I join the fully packed van. My sign had Suşehri written on it. Once we arrived I asked if I can stay till Giresun. He made a few calls and said tamam. In Şebinkarahisar we had to change driver and fan but the new one apparently knew I was HH w/o money. I felt a little bad because everyone around me was asked to pay but yk, I was clear about my budget and it worked. Thanks again to the driver(s).―GermanyToIndia

Direction east. There is plenty of space for cars to pull over and a lot of traffic (even though a lot of it is local). If you use a sign make sure to choose a couple places close to eachother and not just your end destination as far-bound traffic is rare (my sign said Erzurum and it took me 2 hours to find a ride, so write Zara and from there use Erzincan and then Erzurum).―Anonymous

Direction west towards Ankara. Enough space for drivers to pull over. Not much traffic leaving town and hardly any trucks (most of them seem to go South towards Kayseri). It's a long 45 minute walk to here from the city center.―Anonymous
