Simple spot by the road side at the "edge" of town walkable from the city center. To get further out take a mashrutka (1500 Som, from close to the bus station) to Ambop - a town roughly 10 km down the road north, walk a bit and start hitching. Sufficient local traffic to Sherabad.―Anonymous

Works pretty well. The Taliban will help you. Not as many taxis as closer to the city, but people might still ask for money. The heat is unbearable, but looking like a foreigner really helps with getting picked up quickly.―Anonymous
