What hitchhikers said along this route

“all traffic for that direction, traffic lights, very good spot to be seen and stop, legal to stand cause no motorway yet, small service station after few hundret meters: All the possibilities, much traffic, good driver reactions - perfect.”

“Takes a bit to get to, but good spot although stay concentrated as you are very close to fast driving cars took me 15 min with a Perigeux sign”

“Good spot to the east : A89 (Libourne, Périgeux, Brive-la-Gaillarde, Lyon).”

“This spot is actually really good if you want to get to Lyon, or even Switzerland because there is a lot of traffic and they have a good place to stop next to the road, but I think it’s better to have a sign there. We 2 people got a ride next to Lyon with a guy that even bought us ice cream!”

“Good spot to travel to Lyon. I waited 40min and found a ride to one hour past Lyon. The cars are slow because of the traffic lights and you can wait in the shadows - I had a few friendly car washers keeping me company.”

“Got lucky again. Picked up Audi RS6 Avant dude was driving like crazy (I would as well with such a nice car) Overall I recommend this spot because it is a merge lane with red light which gives drivers enough time to think twice to pick you up ;)”

“A nice lady took us to this spot and said we wont wait for more than 10minutes there, she was right haha. Its a really good spot to travel the A89 to Clemont-Ferrand or futher.”

“Two young people (one woman one man) going north, trying to get a ride to Dijon or Strasbourg. After standing a while, we started asking people directly who stopped at the red light. Unfortunately, everybody was going either to Paris or Clermont-Ferrand. Ended up getting a ride to Lille instead.”
