What hitchhikers said along this route
“Found a ride to Gent in less than one minute during rush hour. I had a sign "Gent". This place is really a good one since it is so close to the centre, direct access. A lot of people who work 9-5 and go to Gent or Oostende take this road.”

“One of the first spots where you'll see directions to get out of Brussels and to go towards other cities. We were two persons (1m1f) and waited 15minutes with a sign for Gent. Had a direct ride. Get out of Brussels before or after rush hour. HH in rush hour doubles your time. This particular spot is not so good in terms of decision time for the driver. short eye contact, small parking, fast traffic”

“Sign. Cars go slowly. 2 easy spots to stop (bus stop and a pull in part). Lots of friendly people passed by and chatted. Sign”

“I waited in this spot at the entrance to the Shell since it was visible both to the highway for people to pull over, and for customers at both the Shell and Lukoil stations.”

“Very good exit point for the city of Ghent. Possibilities to get connected to the R4, E40 (Brussels or Oostend)and E17 (Antwerp or Lille). Stand just behind the traffic lights. There's plenty of space to stop and pick up some hitchhikers.”
