What hitchhikers said along this route

“Hard shoulder next to long on ramp. With sign Hengelo waiting most times 5-30 minutes. Also possible when dark because of lightpoles”

“The place is okay to get to Germany, plenty of cars, but a lot of them are going to Enschede or Hengelo, so prepare to be turned down quite often. Eventually, it took us about half an hour to find a ride to the border.”

“My experience was terrible. I've spent more than three hours near the McDonalds. I had a sign for Hannover and Germany in general. Finally had to talk to drivers and got a lift to Munster, which was not quite right for me. Wouldn't recommend the spot...”

“I prefere to wait at the end rather than talking. I'm a bit lazy sometimes. I stayed at the end of the McDonald's, at the exit to the road and 3 cars stopped for me. The 4th car took me to germany. In total, 30 min there just with my thumb up, no signal or paper”
― Gustavobretz, 2014-09-08 · Bolder
“Don't go all the way to the McDonald at the end of the gas station but stay where the pumps are, and talk with people. There's another exit that pass behind the McDonald so often you don't see all the car passing. Talking is always the best way!”

“10 min. from MCdonnalds. the guys were going to HAMBURG.”

“Once managed a ride all the way to eastern Poland from here :) Good choice to get off here!”
― Koendev, 2013-10-01 · Bolder
“^ ^ ^ It has been said before. Talk to drivers (and look at the plates).”
― Fverhart, 2016-01-14 · Bolder
“Petrol station Bolder, A1 towards Almelo/Hengelo/Oldenzaal. Perfect for rides towards Hengelo, but if you need to get to Enschede from here don't hope for a direct ride.”

“Took us to brockbachtal gas station near osnabruck. Good spot, we saw dutch, german, danish and belgian number plates in July”
