“Stood next to the road with the sign and no one stopped. After one hour got a lift to the highway by asking at the gas station.”

“Shell station on Heidenkampsweg. You can stand just before the station (couple of driveways there). Very good spot (almost THE spot) for A1, A7, A25 south- or eastbound.”

“One of the best spots in Hamburg. But for south or west you want to get a short ride to next gas station on the Highway, Autobahn-Raststätte Stillhorn, and then look for a good ride. Next spot has more traffic going more directions. Morning and evening with commuter traffic is best here.”

“Was immediately picked up by guy going to Hannover to pick up some materials. Seems like a good spot, or maybe I was just extremely lucky.”

“Lots of local traffic when I was there, but two guys who went to Bremen, took me to the next gas station on the highway.”

“Very nice spot. A lot of traffic goes by here. Got a ride within 5/10 minutes to Bremen. Better to ask with the people pumping gas but standing at the side of the road with a sign is also fine. Traffic does move fast there though.”

“Pretty good spot, easy to reach via public transit and there is a shower available. It's mostly truckers passig through here. I got a ride to Raststätte Wildeshausen using a sign saying "NL"”
