Accessible for around 3€ from Bologna with regional trains. Good town for sleeping in the wood and swimming in the river during summer. 20min walk from the town to the river. Not so bad to go to firenze/pisa. Though, It was a real challenge going to pisa in one day for me during heatwave (around 8 hours from here). Maybe unlucky.

Maybe did I get lucky but I had a ride to Milan from there in 15 minutes. She was driving someone as a blablacar service. They saw a hitch hiker 15min before, talked about it and she defined that she would take the next one. Big up to the hitch hiker (maybe here) thanks to whom I was able to get this long ride.
