That’s normal because on this stretch of the road in French Guiana, it’s common to have your vehicle pulled over by people who ask you to stop. Please note that the federal police office where you get your exit stamp is located in the city, not at the bridge. I don’t know where it is on the French side (since I’m French, I didn’t need to go there).
